over the past few years freddie has lost his hearing and most of his sight.
when we let him out we'd have to watch and not let him out of the yard.
it was getting harder and harder to get him to come back inside.
anita was gone to the beach over the weekend and i had noticed that he
was wanting to go outside alot. i kept a good eye on him tho and did not
loose him on my watch.
this morning anita let him out with the other dogs and evert and bk came
back but freddie did not. robbie anita and i looked everywhere we could
to no avial.
wait a sec the phone is ringing.

got a text from robbie said he is found. cant get a response.

neighbor behind us said she saw him walking up their driveway off flint
hill church road. tag on his collar got him home.

poor old guy keeps hanging in there. hes so blind that you have to get within
6-8 inches of him before he sees you. when he is outside he never leaves
the backyard and can't hear when you call him. he kinda follows us to get
back in the house. he still pees and poops good and eats good altho we did
have to switch him to canned food cause his teeth are so bad. he has a hard time standing on hardwood floors but he's fine outside.
we really can't leave home much cause we'd have to board him as he does
not travel well anymore. one of us has to be there to take care of him--
i don't know if anyone else could get him back in the house. he did well
boarding him a couple years back but now not so much.
it'll be a hard day when we have to get him put down and it's really gonna
be hard to know when it's time but i guess we'll figure it out.

peace out later

hate to hear that, its always rough when they get older. i had to head down to my parent's to put down my 14 year old labrador back in february - he stopped eating and because of hip problems, his 100lb body just couldn't keep up anymore. never gets any easier.

sending prayers you'll know when the time is right. He's had some great adventures and a great life, more so than the average person. <3 -- tell anita we say hi Smile
