Awesome trip and we covered a lot of ground.

Friday: Railbed Waterfall, Pinball, Railbed, Fish Fossil, Killin Time, Lower Damnation, Crawfords Cry, Trouble, Whitetail 2x then ran Lower Damnation, Grapevine and Middle Rock Garden at night

Saturday: Mason Jar, Lions Den, Big Perm/Valve Stem, Grapevine, Middle Rock Garden. Then we went out after dinner and I rode with Sam and we hit (and made) the waterfall, CreamPuff, Little Jagger, Lower Damnation again and decided to call it a night around 1:30AM

I broke another chromo on Grapevine on Saturday, but am pretty sure I did the damage just before as I was turning around on the access road at the top of Big Perm/Valve Stem watching everyone beat the hell out of that exit. Broke the carninal rule of backing up a hill in 4wd. Pinned the drivers front and heard a pop. Pulled up into Grapevine and she was 3 wheel peelin' it.

Awesome trip. Gonna warranty the Nitro shaft, get some RCV's to swap in and keep the Nitro's as spares. Fix a TCase mount and roll out for the next one.

The entrance from the bottom is pretty nasty compared to years past. I didn't think I stood a damn chance after watching the rest of the group beat and bang on it. As for the ledge dropoff around the rock, it wasn't too bad at all Austin did a good job of spotting me down.

Crawling performance, yes. I do want to lower the rear a little bit since it has a little bit of a rake to it back to front, which I think will help COG more. There is no doubt that the links and a good set of tuned coilovers have some advantages like extra stability in some situations and they are WAY more comfortable on the main trails when cruising between obstacles. BUT, is the investment worth the benefit on a beat ol toyota? meh probably not.

Only things I got denied on that others made was Steel Hill (I was already broken when we hit it), the left exit of Middle Rock Garden, top of Valve Stem and the consequence hills which the rig just does not have the HP to run. Super dry, I think it could crawl some of those obstacles, but lets be real, its Harlan and its always wet. Laughing The narrower and smaller axles do have their place and can hold up to these big stickies when driving with some sense. According to the interwebs, I shouldnt even make it off the trailer without breaking a ring gear. There are now a few guys I know running 39-40" stickies on toy axles and holding up just fine. We just dont rock bounce with them and know we cant do that. That mess is fun to watch but I could sit at White Tail and lap that trail all day long. Those long slow crawls with a bunch of lines are the jam.
