x2 on Engine Service in Shelby, but like Dawg said, any good engine machine shop should have one. Those are pretty popular engines.

Thanks to both of you for the reply, especially appreciated. I'm nearing the end of a nut and bolt resto on an 85 4wd long bed pickup, engine is the last thing. My day job is managing a BMW performance shop, we have our own torque plates for the engines we build so I'm in the habit of using one for boring/honing. I've priced out having one made, but that $500 would be more fun spent elsewhere. Will give engine service a call, that's close enough I could just take the block to them and have them do the boring too. No one locally has a torque plate (Greensboro). [/img]

4.56 elocker (one of them) http://www.badmonkeyracing.com/sharedyota/elocker1aa.jpg

I'm a little behind on my picture taking. It resembles a truck at this point, not just a collection of parts.

What I fixed up to drive since the long bed is taking so long. Yes, it's an 85 SR5.

I love your long bed.... Question though, You added the E-locker, but kept the stock steering? Why not go cross over? Either way, Awesome!! We need some updated pictures.

I had an IFS box and the mounting plates set aside to weld but traded them away. It's an OME suspension, not quite enough lift for crossover without clearance issues.

Talked to Eric at Engine Service a few minutes ago. Nice guy, I think he thought I was going to ask to borrow his torque plate but told him I'd just bring the block to him.

Took the block to the guys in Shelby a couple weeks ago, picked it up last Tuesday. Haven't had time to do anything more than put it on a stand, next thing is to dummy up the bottom end and see how much I have to deck it. Ended up being an all truck day, started by taking the truck to Lexington to have the exhaust made (have a dummy engine installed so I could get the header in place), then to the body shop for a couple final things. Between the two I got a call from Eric saying the block was ready, so dropped the trailer and headed south. The truck did see daylight and had it's first bath in 4 or 5 years Sunday before last. I used a Flowmaster front resonator which sits under the catalytic heat shield, then a Magnaflow muffler, 2.25" all the way out. Used just the Magnaflow last time, a little too loud so hopefully this will be just right. If you look at the resonator pic you can see the e-brake on the trans output.

Now to find some stock steel wheels, guess I'll put that in another post.
