Since Ive been driving it more, the water pump is puking out of the weep hole. I have to add a 1/2 gallon of water every week when I drive it across town to cut the grass at my duplex. So, it looks like the head swap/front end rebuild will be soon.

Just put some JB weld in the weep hole and keep getting it!

I may do that! I have a new WP sitting on the shelf. Looks like it will be a rainy weekend, so I may get a chance to swap the heads soon.

I dont know why they put a weep hole on the water pump.. Why cares is the seal leaks internally.. Very Happy

One bolt where the exhaust manifold bolts to the downpipe. My manifold was pretty jacked up anyways. After I got it off, I ran a big file across the surface just to see how flat it was. It had a big crown inbetween #2 and #3. The outsides of #1 and #4 are fairly rust pitted from the gap created by the crown in the middle.

Two bolts where the PS pulley bolts to the main crank pulley. I may just weld those pulleys together.

If you have IFS (no front diff movement), flat belly, and dual cases, it IS possible to get a front driveshaft on without having to buy a different crossmember. It is really tight though.

Dual cases have real tight clearances with my trans tunnel.

And the #1 reason I cant wait to have a shop. Working outside in the rain brings the suck.

I have a 4crawler tcase mount and am about to do the bolt thru mod on my motor mounts. It shouldnt move too much. I can get my pinkie finger between it and the tunnel.

Guess it is time for a little update. As of last night, my truck is sitting on jackstands.

As of darkness tonight, it will be sitting on 35x12.50R15 old skool MTRs. I even have 2 mounted spares.

As in Old school MTR's for real? or the new style Treadwrights that use that tread? Either way should be a solid tire for your rig.

As in the real deal old school MTRs. I have been sitting on them for almost a year waiting on this day. Got 6 of them for $600 last year.

Thats awesome. I was not a fan of the ones that I ran on my green 4Runner once they hit about 1/4 tread, but before that they actually went pretty good. IIRC thats the tire I ran for Crozet way back when and they hooked up good on a lot of surfaces.

Im sure that they will get plenty of traction keeping my shop floor in place. Seems like that is all my truck does right now - shop ornament.
