Pulling the 4.10 front tonight and putting the lockright in the 5.29 front. It will be nice to be able to use 4wd again. I need to do a flex test on the 33s and see if I will have room for 35s for my next set of tires.

There were a couple times I had to go down to 4th or 3rd cause the other traffic was going too slow to keep 5th.

Flex pic with 33s. I think when I change my spring perches to fix my pinion angle, I will get the ones with 3 holes and move my axle back 1". Then I can stuff 35s.

Massive IFS flex!

Lots of parts sitting on the floor in my garage.

Dual case adapter
top shift case
drive shafts to make new longer/shorter
rear diff armor
spring perches
front bumper winch mount
everything for a head swap (new head bolts, gaskets, timing chain and guides)

Just need to find the time

Good one.

237xxx miles and the valve seals are shot. Remember killing all the skeeters at URE? Besides I had another head that Dawg could work his magic on. I will be semi puppy powered pretty soon.

right but he could not get a three angle valve job--ported and polished
runners---polished valves a new head gasket and debured combustion chambers.

unless he got some of that "mechanic in a can"stuff that works
wonders with just a pull of the tab. you know like "stop leak"
"seal recondioner" and cracked block repair stuff.

JK Very Happy

dawg

IMO, with that many miles and also needing valve seals, and a timing chain, I thought it is just best to go ahead and put a new head on. I would rather do a head swap when it is convienent to me rather than when the head gasket decides to go.

I have a few shakles laying around. Ill probably take a couple with the valve cover. I havent had time to get a price or even check availability yet. We could just trade shakles when I get it done.

New rear driveshaft is built. VERY minor vibes probably because I got it as true as I could get it with a tape measure and no balancing. I will get Oliver's to build me a nice one and keep this one as a spare.

Gotta get a budbuilt skid so I can build my front shaft now.

Since Ive been driving it more, the water pump is puking out of the weep hole. I have to add a 1/2 gallon of water every week when I drive it across town to cut the grass at my duplex. So, it looks like the head swap/front end rebuild will be soon.
