Tow Mirrors
EGT and Boost Gauges
Lariat Wheels
285/75/16 Adventurdo AT's

How it sat yesterday on the stock wheels and worn ass 265's...

Today with the Lariat wheels and 285's...

Going to put the black toolbox from the Chevy in it and black out the front windows as usual. Aside from some small cosmetic mods and a programmer I don't have much planned for it.

Awesome man, looks good. Should be a good, reliable truck for you that will pull what ever you want.

Found those Lariat wheels with the quickness huh? Cool

Agreed man...Its got more than enough power as is for typical diesel jackassery. And yeah...as soon as the guy and I agreed on price I hit up craigslist and found the Lariat wheels in Hickory. Had to ditch those fugly stock simulators.

Gracias senor's.

Began cleaning the truck up a bit to my liking. Had the front windows tinted to match the back. I also ditched the old school side steps. I started de-greasing the engine bay and found a ridiculously clogged air filter...out came the stock airbox...In went the Napa #6637 BHAF. The truck pulls a LOT harder and hits boost earlier now too.

Thank Ya Sir...

Looks like its time for some fuel treatment and the block heater soon. The temps are a dropping up here on the mountain.

In the meantime I have had to fix the bellhousing where the starter bolts up. The lower bolt was put on I'm guessing with an impact wrench because the threads were all stripped and it had been making a racket when I went to start the truck the last few days. Turns out that was the bolt backing out bit by bit. Some drilling, tapping and heli coiling and shes all back together. No more chatter on startup.

I'm looking at adding the 2005+ Grille to the truck at some point...should I keep it the stock Chrome (its a lot of chrome), Red or Black? Or keep the factory one.

2005+ Grille

Just keep the factory one, cheaper that way and you can use the money you would have spent on BEER!

I say unless you are going to do the bumper and headlights too, then just leave it.

I do however dig the 03 and up mirrors. Can't ever have too many lights.

I like Nate's idea. None of this will happen anytime soon. A new trailer and some other things come first.

Whelp...we had a little mishap...

Was going to work early last Wednesday AM and it must not have been all the way in gear as I was in a hurry. Went back in to get a jacket and heard a few loud crashes outside. Sho nuff it was in the woods next to my neighbors house.

Damage:
Both mirrors, scratches all down each side and a bent front bumper. I already replaced the mirrors with factory ones.

Should hear back from my insurance company tonight or tomorrow. The truck will be going down to SRM Paintwerks in Elkin, NC for the work. While its there its getting an 05 Bumper and Grill. Satin Black Grille, top of the bumper will be red to match the body and the valance will be black. Some 07 Harley Davidson headlights will go in at the same time.

Shawn pretty much summed it up. That old Chevy is unreal. The pictures don't do the small details on it any justice.

chris the same thing happened to a friend of mine in my driveway.
brand new f 250. pulled into the drive & left it in 3rd gear with no parking brake. came inside we heard a crash looked outside there was his NEW truck stickin out of the woods. needless to say his insurance was'nt too happy.

Yeah Dawg. They're real. Haha. They just did another photoshoot with that truck for a magazine feature, no women this time.

All in all, things with my truck could have been a lot worse. I'm just glad no one got hurt. As for the damage, that's what insurance is for.

Got the truck back today. I cannot say enough about the great work that they turn out of this shop. I practically had to pry the truck away because Jody just kept noticing small details, insignificant to most, that he wanted to fix. We are just waiting on the proper fog lights to get sent to us and I will smoke the lenses then put them in. He debadged the doors and took the side moldings off as well as removing the 4x4 decals on the bed. I will get better pictures tomorrow but for now here is a teaser.
