450??? I wish..... More like MAYBE 350. I dont see why it wouldnt. At some point I want to box in the rear frame section, but the rest is boxed from the factory. Look at it this way.. Bubba's 4runner handles that treefiddy...

In other news.. I picked up a set of 91' Lexus LS400 Rods today for $38.

Early 1uz rods (89-94) are thicker and stronger than all the other UZ rods. I plan to have Robert work some puppy magic on my 4.7 before the blower goes on.

Im also going to start stocking up on OEM Toyota CV axles.... so yea... let me know if you see any.

Lol. Tons ain't cheap or easy under a Taco. But a Diamond or RuffStuff drivers drop housing with hp diff and 80 outers would be pretty freakin sweet. For what you're doing with that truck 60's are overkill.

Im starting to feel like a parts collector. I have a few things waiting me. Between Call, Drill, and the upcoming training with the job, I dont know when Ill be able to start wrenching again.

My low radiator hose has been a PIMA since the beginning. I finally took the time to track down someone who can weld aluminum. He did a great job. I have not yet test fitted it yet... Im hoping it fits perfect, and I wont have to worry about piecing together hoses anymore!!

Also, I picked up a set of "Tundra 231mm (13WL) calipers" (These are actually off a 2007 Sequioa.. But they are 231s). I still need pads and rotors.

And lasty, I picked up this cluster. Its from a 00' Limited 4runner. It has the multi-mode display between the tach and speedo. Ill swap in my speedo, tach, fuel and temp gauges along with the white faces..

Im hoping to have the brakes, radiator, and maybe the multi mode case in the truck by Harlan. Im also planning to get my slider welded back on at some point too....

Actually, it wants that bad.... The faster you go, the less time the tires have to travel into the hole...

Finally got the 99-00 multi-mode transfer case working with the 01-02 ADD motor. I know, I have a messy shed, and a rat's nest of a wiring harness. All that will get cleaned up once it's finally installed. The video shows the system running through the motions. One light (near the left header outlet) indicates AWD, and two lights indicate 4wd. No lights is 2wd.

Pictures of said mess....

Well, I have been making headway on my truck. I'm currently working on a few different things all at once. Tonname a few, replacing my DPDT relay that runs my elocker with the OEM ECU, finally wiring up my power mirrors, replacing my broken coil spring with newer, heavier weight springs. I'm probably going to reboot my CVs, and change my LCA bushings wile it's all apart too. Along with that I dentes my gas tank and my fuel gauge was reading full all the time.

So, here are some pictures.

Broken 600# coil, next to 650# coil

I picked up a used sending unit off eBay for 50$. It came out of a 99 Tacoma also. You can see that my sending unit is bent from the tank being mashed in. I decided to bend my sender back into place because I didn't want to modify the new one for the V8 pump, and relocated fuel filter... You can also see that the new unit has the low fuel light sensor. I swapped that onto my old sender.

Here you can see how.shallow my tank had become.

High dollar tank deepener tool 3000...

Tank back to normal.

And my fuel filter relocation. Sine I had a 4cyl before, the filter was on the block. I was going to mount it under the cab like the v6 Tacomas, but there is a Cat in the way now.. This was the easiest way I could find. This has worked well for a few years now..

But fuel cells are so expensive.....

I also pulled the lower control arms off and have bushings installed...

I'm waiting on an LED bulb for the fuel light. I'm hoping that it will turn on and stay on vs fading in and out like a normal bulb due to the fuel level being right on the low fuel light sensors threshold.

How about just putting some more gas in it when it gets to 1/4 tank?

I started tearing down the truck.. again... Yesterday. Time for project grandpa, and remove the 5 speed manual for a 5 speed auto.

I was able to get the transmissions and transfer case out, along with the exhaust. I have the original auto floor shifter back installed.

I still don't have a shop, so I'm working off my trailer. It's nice being able to lay and a smooth surface and also be able to use a floor jack.

Some of you may remember me telling you in Harlen that I had a really loud metal to metal squeak. Well I found it. Looks like the nose on the clutch disc I bought was too long. It was sitting against the sleeve the hydraulic release bearing rides on. It eventually mushroomed the sleeve and clearanced itself.

I know what some of you are thinking, I must have Installed the clutch disc wrong.. but I checked it when I plugged it apart. The disc will only lay flat on the flywheel one way.

Anyway, more to come as it happens.
