SO i need 2 new cv shafts, and i heard somewhere there is a way to make it so it isn't hard to chage the CV shafts , espicially out on the trail. But every where it's mentioned it takes me back to the same site which doesn't have any info pop up for me, just a blank page.
http://toyota.off-road.com/toyota/article/articleDetail.jsp?id=186218&searchString=quick%20change%20CV%20axle

How can I do this, or how do I do it the correct way. I read somewhere I have to deal with un doing a ball joint, that true? I'd like to be able to do this in my appartment parking lot instead of forking out the bills for somebody else to do it

Try this website. Doesn't get much easier. http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/maintenance/cv_axle/

A toyota one will be the best one but can be pricy. You can try an autozone or advanced auto or something like that.

I'm not sure, but I imagine it's similar.
