it's cool ok.

maybe a little too cool.

bout a month ago i remembered that i had almost straight
water in my truck---so i drained the block & rad.
didn't drain the propane converter.
cranked the truck saturday after putting in fresh
anti freeze and it was running rough--stumbled until
it quit. checked it out and the converter was frozen.
so now i got to pull said converter--check it out & make
sure it's not busted inside. if it is luckly i got another converter
on the shelf. needs to warm up just a little so i can work outside.

Figured i would update this a little. Replaced a broken front spring with an extra i had yesterday and got the truck all washed up from Tanzania. Its sitting on the trailer currently getting ready to head to ORV Design & Fab tommorow to begin a few little updates. Replacing the tubing that i bent and broke at Tanzania, finally finishing the X brace in the main hoop, and beginning the fabrication on the roof we are building for it. Going to sink the roof down in between the tubing. Its going to take a little bit of work but should turn out great. Hoping to have a little shade on my head and keep the rain off.

I'll post up some pics as we get working on it.

Got two cell phone shots of some of the new work. Rear bar on the cage has been replaced from getting bent at roberts, and finished the X brace, it had been a \ brace since we originally built the cage

Second shot shows the new roof panels cut out and put in place. They are just resting up there for now, waiting on the mounting tabs we ordered to come in. The postion of them has to be adjusted some, but the break you see in the panels will line up all the way across once everything is done. Should look good.

Nah, Pearce decided he would rather not use them, i still have them if you want them back. Ended up getting a 4x4 sheet of 14 gauge from Abe over on 56.

Finally got a chance to work on this pile again on Saturday for about 2 hours. Got a bunch of tabs mounted for the roof panels, not much else. Going to be picking up the pace over the next few weeks though. Should have her ready to ride by Thanksgiving i believe.

Finally got this ole junker back to my house after it being at my buddy's shop for 3 Rolling Eyes months. After i get everything painted up and cleaned up i will get some new pics put up. Roof turned out nice, no loss in headroom and should be safer and more comfortable.

Got a few pics tonight on the cell phone. Roof turned out well, im pleased with it. It was a lot of work to get it right, and its not perfect, but close enough for this truck. Still have to get it all painted up and probably run some clear silicone around the panels to keep the water from dripping in.

i welded the radiater support to the tubing, turned out rigid enough.

kyle i think you'll like that tube at the front.
really stiffens up the rad support.
are you taking the tube from the shock
tower to the cage as well? that'd really stiffen it up.

after burning the tubes into the radiator support, you couldn't shake it at all, so i think that the radiator/fan kissing issues are over.

dawgtoy is right on the shock bar back to the cage, it would be a solid foundation thats for sure.

At some point i may go ahead and tie the hoops into the cage, just a lot of crap in the way on both sides. Bumper and hoops tie into the frame in six points and then have the two small braces on each hoop going to the frame. The frame is also plated everywhere they tie in, so we shouldnt have an issue with any of that moving.
