Which years and model trucks came with them from the factory, and is there a preferred year, type, ect? Anyone got a set they want to part with?

its like 87-98ish. they are in all the box body chevys. the 2wd drives have 3leaves and an overload and the 4wds have 4leaf and an overload. i got about 3inchs of lift out of the 2wd set and that was not including the shackels i put it. if you look at my build you can see them, im very pleased with them and loved the total price of my lift with me using these. also i would highly recomend the BUD BUILT hangers and shackels. awsome guy to deal with and they are BEEFY!

Well, except for the BudBuilt hangers and shackles...but here's the second time you've heard great things about those. Very Happy

thats the link i was looking for, great info on there, just couldnt remeber where i saw that at. O yea, instead of measuring me and blaine just took a plum bob and maked where the center of the axel was on the frame, and it worked out that it was moved 9.5 inches foward of the stock hangers. This was measured EYE TO EYE, where the bolt holes are, and the axel is center in the wheel wells, and i dont have any vibration in the rear end at all. i also got my u bolt flip kit and the shock relocation tabs from trail gear, but bud is where its at on the hangers and shackels.

Awesome, right now my right rear stock hanger and main leaf are both bent where to truck was rear ended before I got it. I took a sledge hammer and put a temp fix on the hanger, but it's gotta go. It's a good excuse to run the chevy springs. Cool

Ahh, Damn! I hate warnings after the deed is done! Forgive my ignorance, but what do ya mean by "cantilever" shackle? Here's what I got right now.

cantilever shackles are shackles such as teraflex's revolver shackle, like these http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=TMI-001074000&N=700+400619+315951+115&autoview=sku

great for the RTI ramp, but not much else...
