What size tires would you run with the SAS Trail Gear 5" kit?

unless you allready bought the kit......I would just use stock rears up front.....You can run 38"s pretty easy. I'm using stock rears and I have 42. but then again I'm about as wide as a school bus

I currently a 1995 pickup and I was going to buy the TG 5" kit since I've never swapped a toyota yet. I figured since it is the first time for me I would buy the kit since it came with everything I would need. What you think??

That depends on whether or not you want to trim or cut your fenders. The 5" kit is going to sit you up pretty high. Trail-Gear kits seem to give more lift than they claim.....

My 91 runner had the all pro 4" and I was running 35's but still rubbing with no fender trimming.
My friend has an '89 with the TG 5" with a 3" body lift and he runs 39.5" and still rubs the fenders with no fender trimming.
Just to give you an idea of tire size and lifts.

No not yet. Justin said something about that other truck that Daniel has but I'm sure yet. I just want to make sure the truck starts and runs well then it will be time to order everything and get it right. Me and Jason got the motor out on Monday and now we need to disassemble all the lines and intake crap. Hopefully all the inter parts are good. I will need a exhaust manifold for it. Mine is cracked. Should i just buy a header or will a 22r manifold bolt right up?

The 22R exhaust should bolt up but if it doesn't I have an extra 22RE exhaust manifold at my Dad's.

Big Fawkin Hammer time......

5" springs are going to be way too much IMO. Check out the Pirate Toyota FAQ. There are alot of threads/pics of trucks with different spring setups.
