We had a good time at Crozet today. We took a bunch of picture so i will post them all up to try to stir some life into this boring website Very Happy

Started to drop off this rock and thought everything was good....I didnt think i was at any risk of something bad happening....

I was wrong

My tool bag was unzipped, so i took a D-ring to the head, which is still hurting. Landed right on the center of the cage when it fell. Moved the cage a little, but it should be fine.

Then Woody decided to drop off this rock. Turned out good.

Next was this climb, woody made it, i tried, but no go, then robert went.

Then Jimmy gave it a shot. He got pretty tipsy, but i said "In my opinion, i think you've got it" so, he went for it, Turns out i was wrong.

Shock = the sound of the crunching and crackling in Jimmy's rollover vid.

Looks like a great time...lots of rolling for everyone to get out with just bumps and bruises.

Yeah, Jimmy's front end got fawked. I really felt bad for my crappy spotting. His core support bent bad, and the inner fender and hood were trashed. We spent about 30 minutes beating, prying, and winching his front end back into shape.

Everything is still good. We winched it out and I wheeled the rest of the day. I'm glad that I took out the sunroof glass yesterday morning. Note to self: The next time Kyle says "In my opinion", do the opposite of what he says Laughing Laughing Laughing

Great pics Kyle. It's been too long since somebody brought a camera along. I'm glad you did this.

I got home and ran the buggy for 20 minutes without a problem. It just doesn't like to put around for a long time while not really going far and I Crozet is kind of an extreme version of all rock garden, no travel from one place to the next. I guess I'll take it out again and see how it does. Worst case scenario, I have a spare CPS that I carry on the trails with me. I got the tranny cooler mounted back up properly yesterday and I added some oil.

All together I only had 30 minutes of work and $7 in parts and she's ready for the next trip. I wonder where that should be? I'd say Raush Creek to go someplace different. It has big rocks and nice traction. It also has a man made course which is a lot of fun. The downside is that I'm not sure how many guys in this club are willing to travel. Harlan is nice but it's not so nice that it's the only place to go.

Raush creek is definatly worth the drive. Its about an 8hour drive from Raleigh. I went there last weekend, and I cant wait to go back again.
