I just bought this 87 unfortunately it's IFS and carbureted, but I'm shooting for SAS and propane, but for now what is everyone's opinion on locking the front on an IFS, I've had solid axle trucks locked front and rear but I've never wheeled a IFS truck, the rear is locked, but are the axles bad to break if the front is locked? I'm on 33x12.50r15 Yokohama super diggers, thanks! Will post pics when I figure out how to...

I'd leave the front unlocked. CV's are gonna be toast if you wheel it hard. I ran my Tacoma with an open front for years and went everywhere I wanted to go.

Thanks for the info! I may just leave it open, the axles are a pain to change on a lift in the shop I could imagine on a trail in the rain shew...

I have a lockright in the front of mine. 5.29 gears and 35s. Never broke a front shaft. But then again it only sits in my shop. Cool

No you haven't broke the CV but you did twist a drive shaft!

Mine is locked in the rear but open in the front, but I am the Sissy Truck!
